Day 1 Rappel Nauyaca Waterfalls

You have to find them first, however. And find them we shall!

Grab a horse and trek out to Marino Ballena National Park, home to a number of marine mammals like turtles and whales that come here seasonally to mate and nest.

Day 2 Kayak Dominical

Kayak Costa Rica’s amazingly beautiful Central Pacific coastline, near the small village of Dominical - a water sport adventure-seeker's paradise, where waves can reach over 10 feet high.

Tonight we dine in fine style enjoying some of the best and freshest seafood found anywhere on earth!

Day 3 Sea Turtles in Nosara

One of Costa Rica’s best kept secrets, Playa Nosara is a hidden paradise. Comprised of Playa Nosara, Playa Guiones, Playa Pelada, and Playa Ostional, together they make up the Ostional Wildlife Refuge, where every year hundreds of thousands of Olive Ridley sea turtles come to lay their eggs.

After saying 'hi' to the turtles, we head north to Playa Nosara's neighboring tropical forest to enjoy its vast variety of animals and birds, and finally setting down to watch the sunset on a beautiful black sand beach in one of Costa Rica’s most diverse ecological environments.

Day 4 SCUBA Dive in the Osa Peninsula

You're going to Drake Bay, a tiny town by the bay which is actually one of the most inaccessible places in the entire country. It was first discovered by Sir Francis Drake in 1579 during his circumnavigation of the globe. It not only has the tallest primary rainforest on the planet, it also happens to be situated near our dive site: the biological reserve of the Isla del Caño, which offers some of the best scuba diving in Costa Rica.

Caño has near perfect diving conditions year round, and is home to 18 species of coral, 3 species of dolphin and 57 different species of crustaceans. You get to spend all day on this tiny island, which happens to be the ultimate diving spot.

Day 5 World Class Rafting in Turrialba

Start the day with yoga on the beach. After breakfast, you grab your accountabili-buddy and head out to the class 4 and 5 rapids of along the Rios Pacuare and Reventazón that flow nearby town. These two rivers are famous throughout the world and are used as training grounds for world-class white water rafters and kayakers. Bring everything you've got. Pack some more. Run with it!

Now you get to relax. Tomorrow morning, you set out for Base II and the MonteVerde Cloud Forest...

Day 6 Zip Line through Cloud Forest

Take a trek through the jungle first on horseback, then by boat, then via 4WD vehicles to find the Monteverde Cloud Forest Biological Reserve, one of the most stunning and breathtaking nature reserves in the entire world. While cloud forests receive much less rainfall than rainforests, the flora takes advantage of the higher humidity to grow. Immerse yourself in this incredible eco-system by zip-lining through tree tops, and learn about this secret world, sitting at 1,600m, surrounded by misty cloud cover, and home to more than 2,000 species of plants, 100 species of mammals, 1,200 species of reptiles, and over 400 species of birds.

Day 7 Summit Volcano Irazu

Start the week off right. After spending the night at our first base, in the exotic wilderness of Costa Rica's jungle forests, you are whisked away to trek the mountainous region of Costa to summit the dormant Irazu Volcano. The views will be spectacular. Don’t forget your camera!

Day 8 Hot Air Ballooning Volcano Country

Time to let it all go - fear, doubt, and disbelief. Free your soul, your mind, your spirit. Fly above it all.

Soar through unquestionably the most fascinating terrain in the world — low and slow drifting, over rainforests, mountain villages, caress the tops of giants trees, dip into white water rivers, and chase monkeys in the tree-tops. And given the right climatic conditions, ascend to watch awesome Arenal volcano erupting above its halo of clouds.

Tabacon Volcanic Hot Springs

Spend the evening relaxing, enjoy unlimited yoga, massages, and all the hot springs your body can soak up. The Tabacon experience begins in a secluded rainforest with spectacular Arenal volcano  set in the backdrop. Pools are strategically located along tropical garden walking trails, which provide a relaxing break from the exploration of the flowers, plants, and regular wildlife sightings. There are also three cascading thermal waterfalls which provide relaxation and natural hydrotherapy for sore or tight back and neck muscles. Soothe and relax after our last 5 days outdoors, find the perfect ambiance and clarity for meditation and yoga, and leave with an unforgettable experience.

Arenal Volcano at Night

An hour after coming back from the hot springs, you're notified the volcano is erupting... and it's a clear night! You pack into jeeps to head out to the Arenal Observatory Lodge, where you get to see the smoky giant up close and personal from the same spot where the Smithsonian Research Center scientists study it.

You've now hiked jungles, went SCUBA diving and kayaked some of the worlds most beautiful waters, and ballooned over an active volcano, and are now the happiest camper in the world. It's been quite a journey, and you have lots of new pictures to post on Facebook, for your fan club of virtual admirers...
