Relax.

Unwind. Detach. Find your Chi.

Follow the group, or follow the beat of your own drummer. Do yoga with everyone in the morning, or meditate the entire day in the mountains with the mountaineers. Join the group for a planned hike, or choose to go soak your body in hot natural springs away from the crowd. Cook dinner with the chef, or get a massage and eat later. Swing in the hammock under a blanket, or join the group by the fire. This relaxation-focused itinerary provides participants an opportunity to appreciate the softer side of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, and sets the perfect stage for private getaways or for nutritionist consultants to engage their clients.

Package includes transportation to and from airport and all activities, admission fees, safety and activity equipment, 3, 4 or 5 star accommodations, gourmet cooking, wine with dinner, yoga & fitness instructors, local mountain guides, massage therapists, and chauffeuring to alternate activities throughout each day.

Day 1 Horseback the Arkansas River

Ride off into the Colorado wilderness along the Arkansas River. Ride through open meadows, up and down hills, smelling the tall Ponderosa pine trees, and be dazzled by valleys of Colorado’s famous Aspen trees. And as you parallel the majestic Chalk Cliffs on Mt. Princeton and ride up to the Colorado Trail, the views will be spectacular. Don’t forget your camera!
Alternate Selections: Personal massage, natural hot mineral springs, meditation, yoga, photography, hiking, bike riding, natural cooking, painting, reading, writing, wine tasting, fitness & conditioning.

Day 2 Shadow Mountain Lookout

The hike to Shadow Mountain Lookout takes you along the eastern edge of Shadow Mountain Lake. Be on the lookout for ospreys fishing in the lake. The vistas from the tower are truly special, so bring along your camera! The stoutly constructed fire lookout was completely restored over two summers of work in 1994-1996. One of four built in the Park by the depression-era CCC, it remained in use until 1968. It is now being considered for placement on the National Historic Lookout Register. Take in the sights. Lunch at the summit. Breath in the fresh mountain air!

Day 3 Rainbow Hot Springs

You hike up to a small streamside pool in the wilderness starting from a trailhead near Pagosa Springs. The area is undeveloped, except for the rocks piled to make a pool below the springs. Rainbow Hot Springs spouts from a crease in the solid rock about 15 feet above the West Fork of the San Juan River. It is a delicious temperature for soaking in summertime, and will serve nicely as a place to sooth those aching muscles after rafting and mountain biking through the Rockies. Soak in the pools, then splash into the cold river nearby for a heart-thumping moment, and then leap back into the soothing warmth. No sleepy nerve cells after that!  From your protected river hot pot you can enjoy crisp, fresh air and green trees all around you, with the roaring stream filling your ears with water music.

Day 4 Mountain Yoga Immersion

You begin with breathing exercises and fall into a deep meditation. Fall into a yoga trance and unlock your biofeedback receptors as you become aware of your brainwaves, muscle tone, skin conductance, heart rate, blood pressure, and pain perception.  Feel rejuvenated as you gain control over your body functions, and find your senses at a heightened state of awareness. Smell the crisp mountain breeze coming through the mountains, move through you, through the grass, the trees, the mountains, and slightly push the earth forward along its axis...

Day 5 Valley View Hot Springs

Scheduled: Valley View Hot Springs
Time to leave the puritan roots and find your way to a secluded naturist development with pools in a wooded area. Enjoy the pools and the sauna in an isolated, and natural setting. You will be surrounded by the scenic San Luis Valley, crouched on the western doorstep of the exquisite Sangre De Cristo Mountains. Sit back, relax, and be transported back in time to when things were less crowded, less complex, and less rushed. Before you leave Valley View Hot Springs, you will believe it is a special place. Though not a style for everyone, it is perhaps in one of the prettiest Colorado settings, and home to non-traditional personality.

Day 6 Glacier Gorge

Scheduled: Glacier Gorge Hike
Make sure to get plenty of rest, because we start by getting up early, eating breakfast, and leaving to tackle Glacier Gorge. By some accounts, this is the most beautiful spot in Rocky Mountain National Park. Along the way, you will find spectacular scenery, beautiful wildflowers, cascading waterfalls, and beautiful alpine lakes. Make sure to bring along a camera. You'll climb up and down the rock shelves along Black Lake, finally reaching an open area with breath-taking views. Here we will stop for lunch, explore, and take in the sights. The way back is really the best time to take in the sights because now you'll be heading downhill the same 1,600 feet you gained hiking up in the morning. You'll also get to start thinking about the feast waiting for you back at the lodge.

Day 7 White Water Rafting Down Brown's Canyon

Maybe you have been relaxing all week and forgot that there is a lot of adventure in Colorado, after which a massage back at the lodge is just the thing you've been missing. On this trip, you're going to raft 10 miles through Brown’s Canyon on the Arkansas River, just north of Buena Vista. Together with the rest of the crew in your boat, you will work to negotiate the Class III rapids in the Brown's Canyon wilderness. You will enjoy a well-balanced blend of both exhilarating whitewater rafting and the majestic views of the granite canyon. Back at the lodge, a feast awaits...

Day 8 Blue Lake

After a lazy morning, and hearty breakfast, a wonderful day hike up to Blue Lake in the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area awaits. This short hike takes you up to a beautiful lake surrounded by stunning alpine peaks. Enjoy the stunning views, while recuperating from yesterday's rafting adventure. The short hike to Blue Lake vividly captures all that's noteworthy in the Indian Peaks Wilderness: an idyllic alpine landscape, prolific wildflowers, tumbling waterfalls and intimate views of the area's most impressive peaks. You and the group relax by the fire in the evening, singing songs, dancing, and savoring the fruit of all the challenges you've accomplished throughout the week.

Day 9 Mount Princeton Hot Springs

Relax from yesterday's hike, and soak in creekside hot mineral pools. Enjoy some of the hottest water in the State of Colorado - it gets up to 105 degrees. The area is home to some of the most scenic mountain country to be found. Nearby, the Collegiate Peaks and more than a dozen others honor you with impressive elevations between 13,000 feet and 14,000 feet or more. The Mount Princeton Hot Springs has been in operation for over a hundred years, and has seen the rise and fall of booming mining towns with grand mansions, and abandoned ghost towns. But one thing has remained constant: the clear hot water. Take in the sights, and soak your bones.

Day 10 Chasm Lake

Today, you hike up to 11,800 feet above sea level to Chasm Lake, which lies nestled in a rocky alpine cirque below the towering summits of Longs Peak (14,255 feet) and Mount Meeker (13,911 feet), the two highest summits in Rocky Mountain National Park. The cirque is absolutely stunning and is one of the most beautiful spots in all of Colorado.

Day 11 Mountain Yoga Immersion

Feel your stresses melt away as you lose yourself in ethereal reality. Immerse in beauty, nature, and serenity. Find your center, feel the world turn, unplug, tune in... to the best relaxation  on earth.

Day 12 Climb Arapaho National Forest

If you didn't get your fill of outdoor activities the last two weeks, today is your lucky day. Trek out deep into Arapaho National where you find beauty often overlooked because of its more popular neighbor, the Rocky Mountain National Park. Yet the scenery here is just as stunning and the wildlife as plentiful. The day is yours to delve into the climbing experience of a lifetime, with unparalleled 360 views on every pitch.
